She was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 59 years, R.C. Rittenhouse and her parents.
Left to cherish her memory are 2 sons, Richard A. Rittenhouse, and Steve C. Rittenhouse; grandchildren, Adina Young (Jon), Heather Casa del Valle (Juan), Melissa Crumley (Lucas), and Amy Smithson (Chay); and 5 great-grandchildren with another on the way. Virginia was a giver, devoting her career to counseling those in need. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.
She will be inurned next to her husband at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in North Carolina.
