He had his own quartet,The Coasters,which played at the Army and Navy Club in Long Beach,Ca.,and the Palms Springs Biltmore Hotel.He was a member of the Los Angeles and Phoenix Musicians unions and American Society of Music Arrangers.
He was a Mason,past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Scottsdale Hiram Club.He also worked with Jobs Daughters,Rainbow Girls,Demolay Youth Group and as a baseball coach for the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife Martha(who passed away in 1994),step-daughter Susun Smith(passed away Sept.17th 2008);stepson Roland Johnson and a sister.
He is loved and missed by everyone.
His memorial was held at the Eastern Star Home in Phoenix,Az.Botimer Family Mortuary made the arrangements.
