H. Nettie Dodson Kuykendahl Choate passed away at the home of daughter Tish on Sunday, 06 June 1915, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 57.


Mrs. Choate was born in August of 1857, to Charles Hallenquist Dodson, Sr. and Sarah Ann Curlin Dodson, in Tarrant County, Texas. She was the last of eight children born to this union.


She was united in marriage to Thomas Denton Kuykendall around 1872 in Texas. Mr. Kuhkendall is thought to have preceded Nettie in death around the time of the birth of son Clem in 1884. If so, the couple were married about 12 years. To their union were born three children: son William R Kuykendall, daughter Tish S. Kuykendall, and son Clem Bee Kuykendall.


As a widow, she was united in marriage to John C Choate on Friday, 25 March 1887. Mr. Choate preceded Nettie in death on Tuesday, 03 July 1900. They were married 13 years. To their union were born two children: daughter Effie Missouri Choate and daughter Myrtle Julia Choate.


Nettie was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, brother William Robert Dodson, and sister Frances Dodson.


Survivors include son William R Kuykendall, daughter Tish S. Kuykendall, son Clem Bee Kuykendall. daughter Effie Missouri Choate, daughter Myrtle Julia Choate, sister Eliza Jane Dodson Stevens, and brother Charles Hallenquist Dodson, Jr.


Interment occurred at Willow Wild Cemetery of 1220 West 7th Street, Bonham, Fannin County, Texas.


Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Wise Funeral Home of 219 West Sam Rayburn Drive, Bonham, Fannin County, Texas.
