Kenneth James McCord, age 80, of Miamisburg, OH and Bruceton Mills, WV passed away Thursday afternoon, April 30, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center in Kettering, OH. He was born December 1, 1939 in Morgantown, a son of the late Rex Kenneth McCord and the late Iris (Ammons) McCord.

Survivors include his daughter Lisa McCord and her nine children, and a son, Rex McCord and his fiancé Angie Samples and their two children of Miamisburg, OH; and a sister Betty Sanders.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Emma Jane Leach McCord on March 23, 2020; and a brother, David McCord.

He loved to go deer hunting and camping, as well as playing horsehoes and cornhole.

Due to the current circumstances with Covid-19, his family has chosen to have a private viewing and funeral service. Mr. McCord will be laid to rest with his beloved wife at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery on Wednesday, May 6, 2020.

Professional services are being provided to the family with the guidance of Smith Funeral & Cremation Care of Westover / Morgantown.
