Benefactor of the Charles W Gibson Public Library in Buckhannon, named for her late husband, Charles W. Gibson. In her will, Mrs. Gibson stated that she bequeathed to the City of Buckhannon the sum of $10,000 for specific purpose of purchasing, erecting or constructing a municipal or city library building to be used as a library for the general public. The Library Board of Directors has accordingly long operated this facility since 1940.

Her will also states burial directions:
"I also direct that I be buried in a metal casket and in a metal vault, on our lot in the Heavner Cemetery near this city, beside my late husband, Charles W. Gibson, being Lot No. 473."
