E.A. Sibley Rites Saturday At Nowata
Funeral services for E. A. Sibley, Bartlesville, 84, retired groceryman of Coody's Bluff, who died at 11 a.m. Thursday at a local hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Benjamin Funeral Home at Nowata. Rev. Arnold Long, pastor of the Highland Park Baptist Church of Bartlesville, and Rev. Elmer Nichols of the Nowata Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Martin Cemetery east of Nowata in the Coody's Bluff community.
Mr. and Mrs. Sibley moved to Bartlesville five and a half years ago when he retired from the grocery business. Their home here is at 4008 S. E. Kentucky. Mr. Sibley had owned and operated a grocery store at Coody's Bluff for 36 years.
Surviving are Mrs. Sibley of the home here; three daughters, Mrs. Harley Price of Nowata, Mrs. Hugh Hopper of Shreveport, La., and Mrs. Norman Jeneson of Duluth, Minn; two sons, Donald M. Sibley of Taft, Calif; and James R. Sibley of Superior, Wis,; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Koger of Eldorado Springs, Mo., and Mrs. Allie Burrus of Miller, Mo.; two brothers, John Wesley Sibley of Eldorado Springs, Mo., and Earl Sibley of Riverside Calif.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
