On Friday, May 8, 2020, Jesse W. Bolton, loving husband and stepfather, passed away at the age of 62, just shy of his 63rd birthday. Jesse was born on May 12, 1957 in Gainesville, Texas to Verna Marie and Jesse J. Bolton. He attended 9 years of college and holds 1 Associates, 2 Bachelors, and 1 Life-Time Teaching Certificate. On August 6, 2001, he married Lenia S. Armstrong. He had only one stepdaughter, Sharelena April Armstrong. Jesse had a passion for wanting a variety of animals on his "Verde Valley Farm", to someday give this amazing experience and future opportunities to his "Mila". He also loved his variety of tropical plants and enjoyed his little orchard. His favorite quiet time was sippin' coffee in his rocking chair outside admiring the beauty of his farm, and listening to his rooster (Cry Baby) crow. Another favorite was raising deer to which he had done prior in his life. He was never really was a hunter, but instead wanted animals to thrive and multiply. By having a degree in Art, he loved everything to have plenty of color. Definitely not a fan of black. Speedy also had a second family at the Eastham Unit. Even after retiring on October 31, 2019, 3 months later he was overly excited and anxious waiting to see his coworkers again. He was a very strong Christian and his favorite music was always Bluegrass Gospel, Larry Sparks, "Don't Neglect the Rose." Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Jesse J. Bolton, where they are both now joined and flying on heavenly wings together. He is survived by his wife Lenia, stepdaughter Sharlena, granddaughter Mila (3), whom he adored and was the "center of his universe", his mother Verna Marie and younger brother Jerry Glenn Bolton. His favorite motto was "Do what you can between now and the tombstone." His favorite bible verse was: "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
