William Adams
William Adams, 76, 621 N. Dixon Ave., died early this morning in his home.
He was born June 21, 1895, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Levi Henry and Anna Deggendorf Adams. He was married to Alma Bryan, Aug. 26, 1925, in Galena.
Adams was a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include his widow: two sons, Charles W., Valparaiso, Ind.; and Lawrence J., Rockford; also seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. William Burgess, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
