Dr. Freeswick received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Fairleigh Dickinson University and his M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Freeswick was the Medical Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson, MI. Prior to this he held positions at York Hospital in York, PA, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. He completed his internship, residency, research fellowship and critical care fellowship at the University Health Center of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA.

This was a physician that truly cared about his patients. He had the best bedside manner and professionalism of any doctor or friend or family member that I have ever known. From personal experience, he had the ability to counsel a family about the options concerning a loved one who was at the end of their lives and in discussing the family's options could turn what may have been a traumatic event for the family into an event that was tolerable and comforting and made the family feel at ease about their decisions.

He cherished his time with his family at Ocean City, Md. and was most at ease during his leisure time. He had such an easy manner about him that he made friends with whomever he met. He enjoyed the Baltimore Ravens & Baltimore Orioles.

He is survived by his beloved wife Cheryl and a multitude of family & friends.

Rest in Peace Paul. You were taken from us all too soon. My God bless and keep you in his arms through eternity.

Paul is enrolled with the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement in their Perpetual Mass program and intentions.
