Livingston McCoy Roberts Jr. aged 78, a loving, gentle man went to God on Sunday, April 1, 2001, at his home. Livingston was born on December 9, 1922, in Suffolk, Virginia, to the late Livingston and Una (Parker) Roberts, the second of six children. He is a descendant of the Seven Roberts Brothers of the Isle of Wight County, Virginia, who served in the Civil War.

He married Beverly A. Baurain on January 6, 1979, in Fremont, Nebraska.

Livingston served his country in the United States Navy. He was a CPA, employed at Badger Specialty and Kercher Co. in Manitowoc. He was later employed at Service Master Industries in Wisconsin, Nebraska and Iowa, and was director of Laundry and Housekeeping at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. His smile was warm and welcoming to everyone and the love for his family will always be with them. He loved people, music and dancing and the simple things in life made him happy.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly (his Angel) of 22 years; his daughters, Janet Kirk, Milwaukee (fiance Iain Deakin, Birmingham, England); Kay (Tom) Moore, Manitowoc; Nancy Higgins, Dallas, Texas (fiance Pete Yavner, Dallas); his stepson, Michael Thomack, Appleton; his stepdaughters, Tammy Thomack, Shawano (fiance Jeff Swedberg) and Misty (Peter) Johnson; his grandchildren, Jeff (Beth) Kirk; Jill Kirk; Tim Moore; Brian (Brooke) Moore; Chris Higgins; and Sara Higgins; his great-grandchildren, Erica Kirk; Austin Gorte, Erik Moore and Madison Moore; Evan Higgins and Conner Higgins; his brothers, John Daniel (Suzanne) Roberts, Virginia beach; Forrest (Mary) Roberts, Chesapeake, Virginia; his sisters, Sarah (Willie) Albough, Lincoln, Nebraska; Una Jean (Charles) Halsted, Charlottesville, Virginia; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Raithel.

Private funeral services will be held. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Livingston's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Butitta, Dr. Lyons, and nurses and staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital; ThedaCare Hospice and Colony Oaks Nursing Home; and the Rev. Gary Nockkeberg and the Rev. Roger McQuistion. A memorial has been established in his name to benefit Thompson Community Center, Appleton.
