Services for James Cheatham Jr., 62, of 12500 Blue Sage Road, will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Hahn-Cook, Street & Draper Funeral Home with a private entombment in Rose Hill Mausoleum. Cheatham died Sunday at Baptist Medical Ceneter after a short illness. An Oklahoma City native, Cheatham was the founder of Cheathams Furniture Manufacturing Company.

He attended the University of Oklahoma and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha social fraternity. He was a member of the OU Sooner Club, the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club, the Petroleum Club, the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and the OU Touchdown Club. He was also a member of the St Luke's United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Evelyn; a son, Warren, Excelsior, Minn; two daughters, Mrs Barbara Stevens, Santa Fe, NM, and Jane Cheatham, of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Mrs V.E. Schrameck and Vera Weller, both of Grove, and Mrs Chester Canode, Moscow, Idaho, and six grandchildren.
