Princesse Hélène Louise Henriette d'Orléans was the third of eight children born to Prince Philippe d'Orléans, Comte de Paris, and his wife, Infanta Maria Isabel of Spain. She was a granddaughter of Louis-Philippe, King of the French, and of Ferdinand VII, King of Spain. She was married on June 25, 1895, at the Church of St. Raphael in Kingston upon Thames, to Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy, 2nd Duke of Aosta, who was at the time of their marriage the second in line to the Italian throne. She was widowed in 1931 and married for a second time in 1936 to Colonel Otto Campini.
