OBITUARY: Palestine (TX) Herald-Press, Tuesday, 5 December 1972:

Albert A. Dismuke, 78, of Dallas, died at 3 p.m. Monday in a Dallas nursing home after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Hassell & Foster Chapel, with the Rev. W. C. Littleton and the Rev. Bill Tisdale officiating, and burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Elkhart.

Pallbearers will be Clifton Wright, Hoyett Killion, Clyde Killion, Floyd Rogers, Jerry Monk and E. J. Glover.

Mr. Dismuke was born May 12, 1894, a son of James H. Dismuke and Mrs. Martha Higghins Dismuke. A retired ship yard employee, he had lived a number of years in Orange and in Galveston before moving to Dallas in May 1972.

Survivors include two sons, James C. Dismuke and Jack B. Dimuke, both of Dallas; three daughters, Mrs. Carmen Koopmans, Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Betty Jo Strasburg of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Mrs. Marguritte Monceaux of Freeport; one sister, Mrs. Viola Averitte of Latexo, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The body will be at Hassell & Foster until after chapel rites.
