Amos J. Boyden was born in East Foxboro, MA. He was an architect. He was a draftsman under Cabot and Chandler Architects, Boston. When he went to Philadelphia in 1881 to supervise their Philadelphia office, Boyden made the move permanent. He was in partnership with James Knox Taylor from 1893-1898 and when Knox became the U. S. Treasury Departments Architect, Boyden became the Superintendent of Construction under him. In 1902 he moved to Indianapolis to work on the U. S. Courthouse and Post Office and was working on this with architects Rankin and Kellogg when he passed away.- Catherine Westergaard (#47339001)
