He is survived by his aged wife and son, Ben Gossard and one daughter, Mrs. Howard Flear, of Puyallup, Washington. "Uncle Willis" as he was commonly called was a civil war veteran being a member of Regiment 23, Co. A. Iowa. H has served as commander of the G.A.R. Post in Rochelle. Funeral services were held at the home in Chana Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with burial in the Chapel Hill cemetery.
