She was born January 24, 1926 in Saint Louis, Missouri to Charles F. and Emilie A. Hoehne Moeslein.
She and Ewing M. Abernathy were married December 25, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2008.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg, Missouri.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Frieda Abernathy of Altenburg, Missouri; one daughter, Linda (Richard) Gollahon of Rolla, Missouri; one son, Roger (Titania) Abernathy of Island of Morea, Tahiti; one sister, Doris Waters of St. James, Missouri; three brothers, Edward Moeslein of Fenton, Missouri, Charles Moeslein of New Melle, Missouri and David Moeslein of St. James, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sons, Mark Abernathy, Michael Abernathy and Jonathan Abernathy; and a daughter-in-law, Linda Abernathy.
Visitation will be 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.
Service will follow at 11:30 am Monday at the church with the Rev. Steven Dressler officiating.
Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Altenburg.
