"Elvin W Waid, 70, of 1121 Wyoming Ave, St Cloud, Fla, died Tuesday, Aug 21, at Spencer Hospital, Meadville. Mr Waid had been in failing health for the past several years. He had resided in the Lincolnville area before moving to Florida seven years ago. Mr Waid was born in Johnstown, Pa, Aug 20, 1909, a son of William D and Mina Kline Waid. He married Emma J Morton [on] Feb 1, 1930. Mr Waid had been employed by Corry-Jamestown Corp in Corry for 15 years, retiring in 1961. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of St Cloud, Fla. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs Roland (Elaine) Van Tassel of St Cloud; three sons, Buddy L Waid of Townville, William E Waid of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, James R Waid of Corry, RD 3; two sisters, Mrs Edwin (Lucille) Hooper of Englewood, Fla, Mrs Eugene (Thelma) Dye of Largo, Fla; a brother, Walter Waid of Venango, Pa; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the H William Van Matre Funeral Home of Cambridge Springs...and attend the funeral service at the Lincolnville Baptist Church at 2 pm Saturday, with Rev Robert Walker, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Centerville."
