Raymond J. Abert Sr., 71, of 1280 Morgan Hill Road, Williams Township, died Monday in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Grace (Vivian) Abert.
He retired in 1972 as supervisor of the receiving and shipping department of the Sears and Roebuck Co. store, Easton, where he had worked for more than 40 years.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Raymond Anthony and Ruth (Fretz) Abert.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Easton.
He served with the Army during World War II.
Surviving with his widow are a son, Raymond J. Jr. of Williams Township; two sisters, Mrs. Claire Broscius of Palmer Township and Mrs. Ruth Schwar of Bethlehem Township, and two grandchildren.
Services at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Berwick and Reynolds streets, Easton, will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the church. Calling hours will be 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
