Dexter Allen of North Darien died yesterday afternoon at the residence of his son, C. D. Allen, aged 80 years. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. A. J. Robinson of Darien City, and three sons, G. W. Allen of Murray, C. D. Allen of North Darien and James M. Allen of Auburn. Mr. Allen was born at Milford, N. Y., in 1814, where he resided until near the close of the Civil War when he took up a residence at North Darien, and had ever been held in high esteem by all who knew him. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
