William E. Benoit, Jr. of Hendersonville died Saturday December 8, 2012 at Carolina Village.

Mr. Benoit was born November 29, 1921 in Brunswick, ME to the late William E. Benoit, Sr. and Ellen Anderson Benoit. He was a veteran of WW II. An active member in his community, Mrs. Benoit served as President of the YMCA, served on the board of Pardee Hospital and was a past President of the Hendersonville Country Club. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed gardening and golf.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years Mary Evelyn Grows Benoit, two daughters Linda Leigh Karpathian and husband Kerry of Wausau WI, and Billie Hunsinger of Augusta, GA; four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother John Benoit, Brunswick, ME.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 4, 2013 from the Hall at Carolina Village.
