Adele Valenti (nee Rovelli), 99, a Jersey City, N.J. native and Morris Township, N.J. resident, peacefully passed on May 10, 2020.

Born October 25, 1920 in Hoboken to the late Frank and Mae Rovelli, grew up in Jersey City, N.J. She later relocated to Caldwell, N.J., where she resided for 22 years. In her early life, as the oldest daughter, Adele assumed significant responsibilities for her siblings for many years following the untimely death of her mother. As an adult, she worked for 20 years at William Grant & Son, until her retirement in 1973. Adele enjoyed spending time with family and friends, who widely knew her as a selfless, generous, and loving individual.

She is predeceased by her siblings Joseph, Vincent, Frances, and Frank.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Accardo; grandchildren Ariana, Joseph (and wife Kimberly), and Paul; and great grandchildren Alexandra, Matthew, and Christopher.

Should friends and relatives desire, donations can be made to The American Red Cross in her name to support the coronavirus relief effort.
