Robert Dean House was born on May 8, 1934 in Dallas County, Iowa to Leland A. and Velma Mae (Nance) House. Growing up his family moved to different farms and he attended many country schools in Dallas County. He was united in marriage to Merna Leigh Hanselman at the United Methodist Church in Minburn on June 7, 1959. He worked at Hy-Line for 39 years. He also mowed numerous cemeteries in Dallas County.
He served on the board at Panther Creek Cemetery. He loved garden tractors, gardening and watching birds.
In death he rejoins his parents, Leland and Velma, a brother, Johnnie and a sister-in-law Lucena Hanselman.
Left to cherish Robert’s memory are his wife Merna, daughter, Ginny Spracher and her family. He is also survived by his Godchildren, Travis and Drew Love, brothers-in-law, Jerrold and Everett Hanselman and their families, sisters-in-law, Fae Miles and Carol Rickels and their families.
