Dinah Henry was born August 30, 1954 in Brooklyn, and grew up in the Canarsie houses in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Hunter College in Manhattan, New York, with her Bachelors of Science, and later on went to finish her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Development at Pace University.

D. Dinah Henry is survived by her loving and Devoted mother Barbara Hall, her three loving sons: Elishamah Danilo Henry, Micah Amiel Henry, and Neziah Anaiah Henry, her first and only grandson Zakai Asa Henry, Uncles George & Frank Anderson, Ex- Husband & Friend Danilo Auturo Henry, Her Anderson Family(Atlanta), Her Pigot Family(South Carolina), Her New York Family, Her Isralite family and a host of Adoring family members,Friends and Colleagues.

She was inspiring. She was easy-going, but a forthright Individual. She had a passion for teaching, learning, and exploring. When she finally retired, she was active in her Israelite community affairs.

She was always unique in her fashionable way; from her hats to her stylish garments. She loved Yah and was devoted to her children through her Hebrew heritage.

Her first and only grandson, Zakai, brought many joyous moments into her life.

The neighbors were always aware when she made her famous egg plant Parmesan.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 9, 2019 from 12-2 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502, with a chapel service at 2PM, and burial to follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
