U S Navy Veteran World War II.
Was on US NAVY ship USS Northampton, ship sunk and Jim & crew members ended up in water. Rescued the next day. Assigned to boat pool, participated in landings at Guadalcanal, Guam, and Bougainville. Combat wounded, received the Purple Heart. Served his country with honor and bravery from April 1942 to October 1945.
