MRS. SARAH JANE HARRIS

Mrs. Sarah Jane Harris, 87, who was known by her friends as "Grandma", died at her home in Garberville Saturday following an extended illness.

Mrs. Harris was a native of Iola, Kansas, and resident of Garberville the past 56 years. She was active in the Pythian Sisters lodge, and was one of those who were instrumental in the building of the Garberville Community Church.

Surviving are four sons and a daughter, Franklin E., Charlie A., Clarence E., Alfred H. Harris, and Mrs. Alice R. Reed, all of Garberville; four children and six great grandchildren.

Services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Garberville Community Church with Rev. Van H. Eakes officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot in Garberville cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under direction of Hunter and Wise Mortuary of Fortuna.
