John W. "Dub" Phillips, 61, Richmond, died July 30, 1992, in the Shirkey Leisure Acres Nursing Home, Richmond. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Thurman Chapel, Richmond; burial in the Dockery (Mo.) Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Phillips was a lifelong Ray County resident. He was a farm worker before he retired. He was a member of the Richmond Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include three brothers, Benjamin Phillips, Camden, Mo., Ralph Phillips, Stockton, Mo., and James Phillips, Lexington, Mo., and sis sisters, Mable Holler, Booneville, Ark., Frances Tutor and Virginia Carter of Kansas City, June Racy and Mae Hartman of Rayville in Ray County and Becky Campbell, Pruitt, Art.
