Freda Jo Morris, age 64, of Verden, went to be with her Lord after her brave fight with cancer of 15 years. Freda Jo passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Freda Jo was born on August 27th, 1955 to John and Elzada Adkins in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma Freda attended Maysville Schools and graduated in 1973. Freda also attended Mid-America Technology Center and graduated as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Freda Jo met and married Wayne Lawson Morris in Wynnewood, Oklahoma on June 27th, 1975. In 1979 they had a son, Brandon Wayne Morris. In 1986 they left their home in Maysville and moved to Verden, Oklahoma where Freda worked in the cafeteria at Verden Public School where she later became the head cook. Freda was employed by the Verden Public School until her health declined in 2005.

Freda Jo had an unfailing capacity to love. She was selfless at all times putting others wants and needs above her own. Freda's great love was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt to all. She also loved spending time with her parents. She adored her grandchildren, Gage and Riley Morris, and circled her whole life around being their "Mamaw". Freda's favorite TV show was "In The Heat Of The Night"

Freda Jo was saved and Baptized at a young age. She was a devout Christian woman and enjoyed her quiet time with God.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Wayne Lawson Morris on April 6th, 2020; her mother, Martha Elzada Adkins; her maternal grandparents, G. T. and Freda Bell Lister; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at the Maysville Cemetery. Interment will be at Maysville Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
