Danny Ray Abbott, 71, of Gilbert departed this life on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from Pikeville Medical Center. Danny enjoyed fishing and he especially loved spending time with his sons and his grandchildren. He was a barber and an automobile body shop repairman.
Born on August 14, 1948 at Gilbert, he was the son of Truby Mounts-Abbott and the late Nedsel Ray “Dickie” Abbott (Deceased). In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Abbott-Horn (Deceased).
In addition to his mother,those left to love and cherish his memory include his sons, Travis Abbott and Dalton Abbott, all of Tamcliffe, and Danny Ray Abbott, Jr of Man; grandchildren, Melanie Deanna Horn and Edward Allen Horn, both of Vansant, Linzee Abbott and Kayden Abbott, both of Man; anda host of other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Saturday, May 23, 2020 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with Rev. Gary Browning and Rev. Richard Robinette officiating. Burial will follow in the Mounts Family Cemetery at Gilbert.
