Silas Edward ‘Si’ Jones passed away at his home in Chelsea on January 27th, 2020. Silas was born on December 31, 1950 in Vinita, OK to Lela Mae (Wagnon) Jones and Silas Eugene Jones. He was the seventh of nine children.

Silas graduated from Ewing Halsell High School in Vinita, OK in 1970. He served 7 years in the United States Army. After leaving the Army, he made Tulsa his home for 5 years before moving to Muskogee. He then moved closer back home to Chelsea in 2017.

His family and friends met a lot to him. Not to forget about his fur babies, Angel and Terra Lynn. He enjoyed working with the family genealogy, going to family gatherings, and looking at and sharing pictures.

Preceded in death were his parents, four brothers, Charles, Carl, Curtis, Ernie and one sister, Sandy. He is survived by his sisters Glenda Jones, Eileen Baughman, and Georgia Parker and her husband Larry, 5 nieces, 6 nephews, numerous great nieces, great nephews, and numerous cousins.
