YOUNG WOMAN IS CALLED BY DEATH. Mrs. Mildred Downey Woodard, aged 17 years, wife of Bert V. Woodard and daughter of Mrs. Ethel Thompson, of Charleston died at 3 o'clock on Saturday morning at the Charleston Hospital after an operation for appendicitis performed ten days ago. She was doing well until two days ago when complications arose, and death ended her suffering early on Saturday morning. The body was removed to the Schouten and Lewis Undertaking Chapel, where it (sic.) was prepared for burial. The funeral services have not been arranged, but it is believed the services will be held some time on Monday. She is survived by her husband and her mother Mrs. Ethel Thompson, both of Charleston. Mrs Woodard was a well known young woman, and was popular among a large circle of friends."
