Charles Jefferson Clark was a member of the British Army and died in London of a fever he contracted in South Africa. He married in 1873, Lena Jacob (1852-1905), daughter of John Jeremiah, Jr. (1819-73) and Evelyn Johnson Jacob (1828-1901), of Louisville, Ky. Their three daughters were Mary Susan (1877-), Evelyn Kennerly (1883-1958) and Marguerite Vernon Clark (1893-).

Evelyn Kennerly Clark (1883-1958) lived in Coronado, Ca. She married (1) in 1907, George Arthur Chadwick (c1883-), and their son was George Arthur Chadwick, Jr. (1908-). She married (2) in 1917, Col. Byron Quimby Jones (1888-1959).
