Pacifico Guanio Abad, Jr. went to be with Our Almighty Lord peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2019 with his loving wife, son, and daughters at his bedside.

"Paquito" or "Kit" was born in the Province of Nueva Ecija, Republic of the Philippines on October 5, 1933. He graduated with his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration in 1954 and then following his Civil Law Degree from the University of The East, Philippines in 1958. He served as an Accountant, Auditor, and Comptroller for the State of Maryland during his career for 23 years until his retirement.

He married his wife and sweetheart, Florinda, in March 1966 and had three children, Yvelin, Sean, and Lunarosa. He immigrated to the United States in November 1969 and became a US Citizen in August 1976. He has resided in Baltimore, MD for 48 years.

Paquito was a noble, integrous, compassionate, honorable, kind, and devoted family man, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a dedicated servant of Our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, a great man of his Catholic faith. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was the Treasurer and an active member of the Filipino-American Society of Maryland.

His interests and hobbies included spending lots of time with his immediate and extended families and friends, taking lots of photographs with his camera, reading, watching sports and movies, and enjoying his Filipino heritage, culture, and activities.

He is predeceased by parents, Pacifico and Maria Guanio Abad; and his brothers, Prudencio and Virgilio, and his sister, Enriqueta Hallare.

Pacifico is survived by his wife of 53 years, Florinda Abad; his children, Yvelin Greene, Sean Abad, and Lunarosa Gallamoza (Rexel); his 4 grandchildren, Leia & Matthew, and Ryan & Brennan. He is also survived by his brother, Raymundo, and his sisters, Marietta and Victoria.

Location: Viewing and A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church 3803 Fourth Street, Baltimore, MD on Saturday, September 14, 2019.

Viewing: 9:30am to 11:00am

Mass: 11:00am to 12:00noon

Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park 7231 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, MD.
