Thank you to everyone who visits my great uncle.
*****
My uncle E.H. was married to my grandpa's sister, Kittie. They had a farm and had chickens and pigs. I only lived a short distance away and used to go and buy a dozen eggs or visit the pigs. Sometimes there were little white, hairless squealing babies with pink snouts. I thought they were cute.
Uncle E.H. was always good to us. I never knew if he had brothers or sisters. I now know he had three sisters.
E.H. and Kittie never had any children. They lived in a small, dark, mysterious old farmhouse on the edge of town. It had a small yard with a lot of flowers. I remember the dining room was full of plants.
As years went by, it was decided to put a K Mart between their house and the corner. My uncle sold everything but a small border around his house which was then fenced in. They were allowed to live there for life.
After Aunt Kittie died, Uncle E.H. married a widow, Alma Hatt. I think they had known each other a long time.
E.H. had three sisters:, Nellie May, Mabel D. and Gladys B. Also a half sister Lillie L. Acker Cox.
Thank you to everyone who visits my great uncle.
