Darius and Cora Ablog were married on August 2, 1989 at Idabel. He was a WWII veteran and served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed businessman and operated the Sooner Station where he would hand out bubble gum to all the children. He loved visiting with people and sharing his colorful stories.
Darius was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Ablog Davis; parents, H.C. and Birdie Davis; sister, Fannie Bearden; great-grandchild, Montana Powers.
He leaves to cherish his memory, four step-sons, Howard Jackson, Ada, OK., Earl Jackson and Lee Jackson, both of San Leandro, CA., Bill Jackson, Mantica, Ca.; one step-daughter, Elizabeth Nelson, Idabel, OK.; twelve step-grandchildren; twenty-four step-great-grandchildren; one great, great step-grandchild and a host of friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Idabel, with Bro. Joey Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Top Cemetery, Broken Bow.
