Ruth Esther Hansen was born in Mount Pleasant, Utah, the Daughter of Niels and Hannah Hansen. She Married William Vernon Samuels on June 23rd 1920 in Nephi, Utah. Later Sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away on March 25th 1938. Ruth also Married John Irvin Curtis on June 14th 1945 in Heber City, Utah. John was killed in a Car Accident on October 10th 1959. During her second Marriage she lived with John at 875 East Sherman Ave in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ruth was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving as an Organist in the Hawthorne Ward. Ruth passed away peacefully on Monday, December 13th 1965 at 5 PM in a Salt Lake Hospital after a Lingering Illness.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, December 16th 1965 at 1 PM in the Fountain Green Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fountain Green, Utah. A Viewing was held on Wednesday Evening from 6-8 PM at the Rose Room located at 36 East 700 South in Salt Lake City and at the Church, One Hour Prior To Services.
Graveside Services followed at the Fountain Green City Cemetery where she was buried.
