Death Notice
ABBOTT, Tillus R., age 68, died at 5:15 P.M. Thursday at Green Valley Convalescent Center.
He resided at 1790 McDonald Lane and was a native of Franklin, Ind. He was a retired carpenter, member of Culbertson Avenue Baptist church, and the DePauw Lodge No. 230 of F. & A.M. He was also a member of the New Albany Chapter No. 340 of O.E.S., Carpenters Union No. 430, and was past associate guardian of Jobs Daughters Bethel No. 13.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma C. Richeson; four daughters, Mrs. Pat Sheets of indianapolis; Mrs. Susie Goens of Rushville, Indiana, Mrs. Maxine Gish of New Albany and Miss Betty Abbott, a student at Ball State University; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Electa Mathis of Franklin, Indiana, Mrs. Mary Conway of Seymour, and Mrs. Nellie Crosby of Edinburgh, Indiana.
Friends may call at the Dieckmann Funeral Home after 7:00 P.M. Saturday. Mr. Abbott will be taken to the Flinn-McGuire Funeral Home in Franklin at 10:30 A.M. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday at Franklin, with interment at Greenlawn Cemetery. Jobs daughters will hold a memorial service 4:00 P.M. Saturday at Dieckmann Funeral Home.

Tillus R. Abbott, 68, died at 5:15 P.M. Thursday at Green Valley Convalescent Center. He lived at 1790 McDonald Lane, New Albany.
The body will be at Dieckmann Funeral Home after 2 P.M. Saturday and until 10:30 A.M. Sunday when it will be taken to Franklin, Indiana for services at 10:30 A.M. Monday. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery in Franklin.
