Enola Gay Tibbets was the daughter of Alfred Allen Haggard and Mary Lavina Wareham.

On December 20, 1912, in Carroll, Iowa, Enola married Paul Warfield Tibbets. Enola and Paul had children: Paul Warfield and Barbara Ann.

The Enola Gay, a B-29 Bomber piloted by her son and the first aircraft to drop the atomic bomb, was named after her.
