Mary Ethel “ME” was referred to by her family as a loving mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a very talented artist, miniaturist, and she loved to work in her yard. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Eugene Francis Manning, Sr., her parents William and Grace McLeod, and her sister Louise “DeeDee” Price. She is survived by her daughters, Terry Weldon (Paul) and Tina Blankenship (Tony); her sons, Eugene Francis Manning, Jr. (Paige), Barry Manning (Cindy), and Matt Manning (Stacey); her seven grandchildren; Wesley Weldon (Laurie), Wendy Rutan (Neil), Courtney Stodghill (Brad), Krissy Custis (Jim), Tonya Forbus (Curtis), Amber Gilliam (Christopher), Matthew Manning (Amy), twenty one great grandchildren, and one brother William “Bill” McLeod.
Mom loved flowers but requested donations be made to Baptist Hospice of Montgomery or Alzheimer/Dementia Research.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, July 16, 2018 with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am and service beginning at 11:00 am with Rick Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
