Mr. Anthony Howard Phillips, age 68, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020, at his residence.
Mr. Phillips was born in Rome, Georgia on June 14, 1951, son of Marion Joan Blair Phillips and the late William Howard Phillips. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jasmine Rabb, by a great granddaughter, Adaleigh O’Neal, and by a sister, Bonnie Womack. Mr. Phillips worked as an auto paint and body man.
Survivors include 5 children, Stephanie Haney, Rome, John Roger Thomas, Lindale, Tara Lisa Phillips, Rome, Toni Lynn Phillips (James McDonald), Vernon, FL, and Holly Ann Phillips, Rome; 15 grandchildren, Layla McDonald, Nathan McDonald, Anthony Yeoman, Dewayne Yeoman, Katie Yeoman, Brandi O’Neal, Heather Darnell, Kyle Thomas, Konnor Phillips, Spencer Benson, Jessica Haney, Alicia McDonald, Brandon McDonald, Rachel McDonald and Tiffany McDonald; 8 great grandchildren including, Emberily O’Neal, Kamberily O’Neal, Kaliyah O’Neal and Junior Darnell; his mother, Marion Joan Phillips, Rome; two brothers, Robert Phillips and Craig Phillips; a sister, Debbie Hendrix; nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Phillips will be cremated and the family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
