Mr. William Clay Bearden Jr. age 62 of Centre passed away Saturday August 31st at Redmond Medical Center.
A Memorial service for Mr. Bearden will be held 1: PM Thursday, September 5th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marty Grimes officiating.
The family will receive friends 11: AM until the hour of the service.
In Lieu of Flowers memorial may be made to St. Jude's Hospital and Children's Hospital of Birmingham.
Mr. Bearden is survived by his wife Lena R. Bearden, Sons; John (Daphne) Hale, Carrol Hale Jr. Daughters; Norrene (Greg) Hubbard, Karen (Jack) Kauffman, Brother; Richard Bearden of Centre, Sister; Doris Lane of Rome, GA, 6 Grandchildren, 2 Great – Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews.
Mr. Bearden was a native of Floyd County GA, the Son of the late William Clay and Mary Cox Bearden Sr. William was retired from the United States Navy serving his country during the Vietnam Conflict. After his retirement he worked for the Pentagon as well as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He was a graduate of J.S.U. University, Jacksonville, AL. He was a Mason and was of the Baptist Faith
