The death occurred at the Kings County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 of Roy Somers of MacKinnon Pines and formerly from Murray Harbour. Age 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Myrtle Buell. Loving father of Vera (George) MacLeod of Beach Point. Survived by grandchildren Derrick (Kim) MacLeod and Christine (Barry) Jackson; and great grandchildren Shelby and Abby MacLeod. Survived by sister, Helen MacDonald of Belleville, Ontario. Predeased by daughter, Velda and brothers Eric, Ira, Claude, Alliston and Earle; and sisters Lula Cameron, Annie Bourgoyne and Eletha Gallant. Resting at Southern Kings & Queens Funeral Home for visitation on Friday, December 1, 2006 from 7-9pm only.Funeral to be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 11am. Interment in the Murray Harbour Cemetery.
