Forrest Anderson, Sr., of Huntland, died August 14 after an extended illness. He was 73.

A native of Overton County, Tennessee, he was born September 18, 1910, to the late John H. Anderson and Nancy Bowman Anderson. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Elk River Baptist Church.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Chapel with the Rev. Donald Gregory officiating. Burial will be in Maxwell Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Lee Morris Anderson of Huntland; three daughters, Gladys McFarland and Marie Layne, both of Titusville, Florida, and Juanita Fleming of Huntland; three sons, Forrest Anderson, Jr. of Huntland, Jimmy Anderson of Titusville, Florida, and Johnny Anderson of St. Louis, Missouri; a brother, Morris Anderson of Monteagle; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
