Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Connie Lorraine Cole will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2020, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens, Elizabeth, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Cole, 65, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at her residence.
Connie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a 1972 graduate of Oakdale High School and after twenty-one years of service she retired from the BOP. She was also an active Gold Star Mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Ray and Dessie Mae Johnson; her son, SSG Timothy Bruce Cole, Jr.; her brother, Randy Johnson and her great grandson, Ian.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband of forty-nine years, Tim Cole, of Oakdale; one daughter, Nakia Cole Hutchins and her husband, Robbie, of Oakdale; one brother, Jimmy Ray Johnson, Jr., of Royse City, TX; three sisters, Dianne Carroll and her husband, Otis Ray, of Oakdale, Sharon Doyle and her husband, Joe, of Plainview, Marlene Fontenot and her husband, Don, of Oakdale; seven grandchildren, Darian, Haydn, Alexus, Adriana, Laura, Kross, Sophia; one great grandchild, Jackson.
