Frank was born January 15, 1935 in Smithfield, Kentucky the son of Ernest E. and Effie Mae (Simpson) Simpson. He married Eloise Bacon, she preceded him in death. He then married Jacqueline Marie Prall on October 30, 1954 in Raton, New Mexico. He later married Maxine Mae Smith on April 29, 1967 in Galesburg. She preceded him death on November 18, 2014.
Frank is survived by his children, Ernest Kelly Simpson of Bushnell, Illinois, Harold Franklin (Judy) Simpson of Conrath, Wisconsin, Lawrence Allen (Lanette) Simpson of Tampa, Florida and Kathleen Mae (Gary) Karr of Savage, Minnesota; his step children, Dan (Judy) Kennett of Pisgah, Alabama, Don (Barb) Kennett of Fisherville, Kentucky; his brother, Ernest Earl Simpson of Bruce, Wisconsin, his sister, Lillie Rose Valley of Seminary, Mississippi; sixteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Frank worked as a line supervisor for Admiral/Maytag Corporation for many years. He served in the US Air Force.
Graveside services will be held at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation or Disabled American Veterans.
