Frances O. Meunier, 94, formerly of Whately, died March 22, 2013 at Dexter Health Care in Dexter, Maine.

She was born March 4, 1919 in Whately, MA, the daughter of Edward and Marion (Osgood) Allis. She graduated from Smith Vocational School in Northampton, MA, and on July 21, 1938 she married the late Wilfred J. Meunier.
She worked for the Oxford Pickle Company in South Deerfield, MA.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, serving two terms as Matron. Frances was a past master of the Whately Grange and a member of Pomona, State and National Granges. She was also a member of the First Congregational Church of Whately.

She was predeceased by her husband and three sons, Wilfred Jr., Lawrence and Bruce; by a twin brother, E. Elliott, and brothers, Gilbert and Willard. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Meunier of Dexter, ME, and Gladys and Bob Hatt of Leverett, MA; a son, Robert and Kathleen (Hammel) Meunier of Dexter, ME; a sister, Delia Bardwell of Whately, MA; two daughters-in-law, Sharon of Whately, MA, and Alecia of Deerfield, MA, and a sister-in-law, Virginia Allis of Whately, MA.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lodato and the staff at Dexter Health Care for the excellent and loving care given to "Gram."

Graveside services will be held at a later date in the Whately, MA, Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the First Congregational Church of Whately. Cremation arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
