She married James E. Madoll and together lived in Newton, IA until moving to Grand Rapids, MN where they raised three boys on Splithand Lake. Eleanor loved crocheting and making fried chicken, and later loved the activities at The Emeralds.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; two brothers; two sisters; son, John Olin Madoll in 2018; and stepdaughter, Mary Janet Creech.
Eleanor is survived by her sons: Jerry (Linda) Binegar, Jim (Laurie) Madoll; daughter-in-law, Trudy Madoll; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
