Kathleen Ann Shirkey
Kathleen Ann Shirkey, 73, of South Charleston, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020 at her home.

Born May 15, 1947, South Charleston, she was a daughter of the late John William and Margaret L. Hill Yates. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Donald R. Shirkey; grandson, Cody A. Sneed; brothers, John W. “Butch” Yates and Edward Yates.

Kitty was a graduate of Winfield High School and received her college degree from Garnet Community College. She was a retired secretary with the WV Division of Corrections and a member of CWA Union Local # 2055. She attended Set Free Ministries, Cross Lanes.

Surviving are her daughter, Betty Haynes of South Charleston; grandchildren, Timothy R. Turley and Danielle N. Smith; four great-grandchildren; sister, Terri D. Moles of Scott Depot; sister-in-law, Linda Yates of South Charleston.
