Tuesday night occurred the death of Martin Shipley, at his home on the curve of Wayne and High streets. The deceased was born in Morgan County , Ohio and was thirty-nine years and sixteen days old at the time of death.
Death was caused by a relapse of the grippe, which developed into typhoid fever.
He was a brakeman on the C & E. road at various times. He leaves a wife and three children, all boys, in almost destitute circumstances.
The funeral was held from the house at 1 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. G. H. Hill. The burial will be made at Zion church on the Ft. Wayne road.
