Married to Joseph Jacob Bauer. Immigrated about 1872. The family arrived at Plain, Wisconsin, from Buffalo, New York, in 1874. They lived in Franklin Township, Sauk County, Wisconsin, according to the 1880 and 1910 US Federal census.

Weekly Home News (Spring Green, Sauk County, Wisconsin), July 2, 1914, page 8, column 3: "Plain. Mrs. Anna Bauer died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Schoenfelder, at Parkston, South Dakota. The body was brought here, and laid to rest in St. Luke’s cemetery on Monday. She leaves to mourn her loss four sons, Alois, Joseph, John and George, and two daughters, Mrs. Schoenfelder, and Mrs. Hasheider, both of South Dakota."
