Mrs Susan Sirena Carrigan, 77, was buried at Little cemetery Christmas day. Grandma Carrigan had been suffering for about a month, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Eva Rusk, near Riverside at about 2:00 o’clock Christmas morning. Mrs Carrigan was born at Longville, Kentucky on October 3, 1863, and the family moved to Arkansas and there she met J M Carrigan and was married to him at Durham, Ark., when she was 22 years of age. The family moved to this locality in 1910, and has resided here ever since Grandpa Carrigan died in 1936. Mrs Carrigan became a member of the Church of Christ in 1910 and lived a faithful Christian life until the end. Ten children were born into the Carrigan home of whom nine survive; Mrs Mary Williams, of Flint, Okla., Mrs Nora Shoemaker, Mrs Eva Rusk and Jim Carrigan of Little, and Mrs Earl Hale, and Mrs Bessie Christopher of Cheyarha, Mrs Jim Estep and S A Carrigan of Sand Creek, and Carl Carrigan of Flint, Okla. Other survivors are two brothers, Jack Frost and Charlie Frost of Mounds, Okla., and 51 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. All the children were present except Mary and Carl of Flint, Okla., who were unable to come, and most of the grandchildren and great grandchildren were present.
Rev Inda Norweed, of Cromwell conducted the funeral services at Little chapel at 4:00 p m Christmas Day, and grandma Carrigan was laid to rest in Little cemetery beside her husband.
